We Flew From France to Germany for One Saxophone: How Far Okaimono Goes for Our Clients

Our client was interested in a saxophone listed on Kleinanzeigen in Germany.
The problem?
The seller did not ship to addresses.
Normally, this is where a proxy shopping service might have to say, “Sorry, we can't help with this one.”

Our German partner handles warehouse receiving, but they don't offer pickup services. Since the seller required the saxophone to be collected in person, we had to find another solution.
So our French team decided to go.
All the way from France to Germany.
We contacted the seller directly
The seller also operates a physical store in Ladbergen, Germany, so we contacted them directly by email.
We explained the situation, confirmed that we wanted to purchase the saxophone, and arranged an appointment for the pickup.
Once everything was confirmed, we booked the trip.

And yes, interestingly enough, the saxophone had its own plane ticket.
We flew to Germany on September 1 and returned to France on September 2.
A very quick trip—but an important one.
